Top 10 Shows To Catch Online & In Person This Week

Another week, another batch of shows for us all to enjoy both in person and online. Here are 10 of the best to get you through the week:


ONLINE


WHAT?

Dear Evan Hansen co-stars Sam Tutty and Nicole Raquel Dennis will join forces for a one off concert. The pair will play live to an empty Phoenix Arts Club with the gig being live streamed.

WHEN?

The concert takes place on Sunday 20th September at 5pm.

WHERE?

Live from the Phoenix Arts Club in Central London, tickets cost £20 for the show or £35 for a virtual meet and greet with the two after and are available from lambertjackson.co.uk

WHAT?

The eagerly anticipated series 'Tonight At The London Coliseum' kicks off this week with a concert from star of stage and screen Sharon D Clarke. Expect songs from her varied career including her Olivier award winning turn in the recent revival of Caroline or Change.

WHEN?

Filmed in August, the show is available on Friday 18th September at 7.30pm

WHAT?

Seth Rudetsky's weekly concert series continues this week with the fantastic Jeremy Jordan. Jeremy has appeared in shows including Waitress, The Last Five Years and of course the brilliant SMASH. Anyone who has seen him in concert knows you never know what to expect with his setlist which can vary from Celine Dion to Disney.

WHEN?

The concert goes out live on Sunday 13th September at 8pm ET which is 1am in the UK and is repeated on Monday 14th September at 3pm ET, 8pm in the UK.

WHERE?

WHAT?

The Old Vic have announced another title in their In Camera series, filmed on stage at the empty theatre and streamed live every night. This time it is the turn of Brian Friel's play Faith Healer starring Michael Sheen, David Threlfall and Indira Varma.

WHEN?

The show runs for five performances from Wednesday 16th September until Saturday 19th September at 7.30pm each evening with a matinee on Saturday at 3pm.

WHAT?

Citizens of Song is a series of online concerts taking the audience on a musical journey to a new destination. Previously having done a London concert, the next instalment is heading to Broadway. The show features over 20 stars from Broadway including Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, Frozen, Company and The Book of Mormon.

WHEN?

The concert will be streamed live on Sunday 13th September at 8pm in the UK

IN PERSON


WHAT?

West End Musical Drive In continue their weekly concerts. After two weeks of Six cast members, this weeks concert is a whole new world. The theme is Aladdin and it reunites Trevor Dion Nicholas, Matthew Croke and Hiba Elchikhe to perform songs from the show and other favourites.

WHEN?

Catch it on Saturday 19th September at 3.30pm

WHERE?

WHAT?

The first of two new productions of The Last Five Years to open over the next few weeks. This one is at the stunning Minack Theatre in Cornwall and stars Waylon Jacobs as Jamie and Emma Kingston as Cathy.

WHEN?

The show opens on Tuesday 15th September but is only running until Saturday 19th September.

WHERE?

WHAT?

The Crazy Coqs at Zedel continue their comeback season this week with some amazing performers. Among the highlights this week is "The Crazy Coqs Presents – “Andrew Lloyd Webber: A Celebration” with Nadim Naaman & Lucy St. Louis. If anyone deserves to be celebrated right now, it's Andrew Lloyd Webber.

WHEN?

The show takes place on Tuesday 15th September at 9.30pm

WHAT?

The fantastic Turbine Theatre on the Jetty series comes to a close this week with some fantastic titles. Highlights include champagne fundraiser and concert 'Best of British' featuring an incredible cast of 17 performers including Lucie Jones, Charlie Stemp and Danielle Steers. This week you can also catch The Barricade Boys, Showstopper, West End Rocks and Catfish In Concert.

WHEN?

Best of British takes place on Monday 14th September, West End Rocks is on Wednesday 16th, Showstopper on Thursday 17th, Barricade Boys on Friday 18th and Catfish on Saturday 19th September.

WHERE?

WHAT?

A bit of a different one to end this week on, nightclub G-A-Y has reopened with its dancefloor covered in tables and chairs. Each Saturday they are giving West end performers a stage and this week the theme is The Book of Mormon. David O'Reilly, Sean Perkins, Evan James and Leanne Robinson will all be performing on the stage late on Saturday night.

WHEN?

The club is open on Saturday 19th September from 9pm with performances usually taking place around 1am.

WHERE?

G-A-Y is at Heaven nightclub inbetween Charing Cross and Embankment stations.
