More casting information has been announced about the forthcoming big screen adaptation of the smash hit musical Dear Evan Hansen.
This time around it is the turn of the parents and there are some massive stars joining the cast.
Playing Evan's mum Heidi Hansen is Oscar winning actress Julianne Moore.
Connor Murphy's mother Cynthia will be played by Amy Adams.
Danny Pino is joining the cast as Connor's stepfather Larry, in a newly rewritten role. In the show, Larry is Connor's biological father.
They join the previously announced cast of Amandla Stenberg in a newly expanded role of Alana, Nik Dodani as Jared Klediman and Colton Ryan as Connor Murphy.
Ben Platt is expected to reprise the role of Evan Hansen. The movie adaptation is being produced by his father, Marc Platt. Ben has also been talking about plans to begin filming though no official announcement has been made on his casting yet. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn Dever is set to play Zoe though this has not been confirmed as yet.
The cast is shaping up nicely. I just hope the film lives up to how good the show is.
