To combat the lack of theatre we are all suffering from, Andrew Lloyd Webber has been releasing filmed versions of some of his musicals on YouTube every Friday at 7pm as part of his The Shows Must Go On series.
So far we have been treated to Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Phantom Of The Opera.

This week is the turn of the critically hated Phantom sequel Love Never Dies. This version was filmed in 2012 and stars Ben Lewis and Anna O'Byrne. The show had a short run in the West End and to date has never been seen on Broadway. It is due to embark on a UK tour later this year.
You can catch it on YouTube on Friday 24th April at 7pm for 48 hours only.
I have never seen the show myself so look forward to watching it and posting a review this weekend. Phantom isn't one of my favourite shows (to put it nicely) so it will be interesting to see how I feel about this one.
The following week is the turn of everybody's favourite musical Cats. Now if you want to know the plot for Cats... there isn't one. But there's a good song at least. Just the one, mind. The good news is as bad as Cats is, nothing can be as terrible as the 2019 movie. At least this version doesn't have James Corden in.
Cats will be on YouTube for 48 hours on Friday 1st May at 7pm. You might need a stiff drink ready for that one.
