10 Brand New Shows To Stream This Week

We are into the second week of 2021... unbelievably given how much madness was packed into the first week. If you are anything like me, you are desperately in need of a bit of escapism. Thankfully, there is still a wealth of new theatre content coming out each week. Here are 10 brand new shows you can enjoy in the next 7 days:


WHAT?

After 10 years raising money for the Make A Difference Trust, West End Bares moves online for a one-off event 'Turned On;. Featuring brand new content it boasts guest appearances from Graham Norton, Todrick Hall and Michelle Visage. All proceeds from the event go directly to help those on stage and behind the scenes experiencing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.

Streaming on Sunday 10th January at 8pm

WHAT?

Pure Imagination takes you on a magical journey of dance and musical theatre. Alice and her new found friends take us all on a rollercoaster ride into the new worlds of the white rabbit, the mad hatter, the red queen and many, many more.

Streaming on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th January at 7.30pm each night with a matinee on Momnday at 2.30pm

Seth Rudetsky's weekly concert series continues with the star of Kinky Boots, Rent and most recently Ratatouille Wayne Brady.

WHEN?

The show takes place live on Sunday 10th January at 8pm ET which is 1am in the UK and is repeated on Monday 11th January at 3pm ET which is 8pm in the UK .

WHAT?

Waiting For Obama is a radio-play version of the critically acclaimed play by John Moore.

The year is 2016. A Colorado Springs family is convinced that President Barack Obama is coming for their guns. And they're right.

Catch it every night this week from Monday 11th until Sunday 17th January at 7.30pm each evening with matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday...

A very special Leave A Light On focuses on some of the brightest new talent in the theatre world showcasing a line-up of recent graduates who may not have had the chance to perform for the public

The Grad Fest take the stage on Thursday 14th January at 7.30pm

The fourth and final Leave A Light On concert this week comes from &Juliet star Tim Mahendran who will be bringing his impressive vocals to the stage live from his house.

Delayed from its planned stream last month, Southwark Playhouse host another show live from its empty venue. This time it's the turn of a dark musical about the Internet, those who own it, those who live in it and you.

Catch it on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th January at 7.45pm each evening with a matinee on Saturday at 3.15pm

WHAT?

Filmed during its performance at the Apollo Theatre last month, Roles We'll Never Play features an all star cast singing songs you wouldn't necessarily expect from them. Featuring over 25 performers including Laura Baldwin, Luke Bayer, Nicole Raquel Dennis, Grace Mouat, Trevor Dion Nicholas and Danielle Steers
